I already have a winter set. Can you put them on?
That is most of our October and November work. Bring the winters — on rims or loose — and we put them on, balance them, and torque the wheels. Oshawa drivers do this every fall at the Whitby shop.
Time to put the winter tires on in Oshawa. 411 Drives mounts your winter set — or a new one — at 1020 Dundas Street East in Whitby.
Putting winter tires on in Oshawa is the job we do all through October and November. If the set is already on rims in your garage, we swap and balance. If the winters are loose, we mount them, balance them, and put them on the car.
Oshawa is the next city east. Simcoe, King, Ritson, Harmony, and Taunton are the usual routes, and Dundas Street connects Oshawa to the Whitby shop in a few minutes. The 401 through Oshawa ices early, and residential streets north of King hold snow after the main roads are clear.
Do it before the first morning you need them. Simcoe Street, Ritson Road, Harmony Road, King Street, and Taunton Road are predictable: the temperature drops, the rain turns, and every shop in Durham is full. A booked changeover beats a cancelled commute.
If you drive from north Oshawa, the Taunton hill and the Stevenson / Harmony corridor are where a summer tire or a tired all-season shows itself. Bring the car to 411 Drives on Dundas Street East and leave with winters mounted, balanced, and torqued.
We also catch the tire that should not go back on. A puncture that held air all summer can let go at highway speed in January. If the tread is down to the wear bars or the sidewall is cracked, we will show you and quote a replacement before those wheels leave the shop.

We will show you the tread and the sidewalls before they go on. If they are not safe for another winter, we can quote a new set the same visit instead of sending you back onto the 401 on tired rubber.
Yes. A seasonal swap that skips the balancer is how you get a steering-wheel shake at highway speed. Balancing is part of putting the winters on.
Please do. Simcoe Street, Ritson Road, Harmony Road, King Street, and Taunton Road get busy the week of the first storm. Call 905-666-5369, use the booking form, or walk in.
